All The Same

OKAY HIIII!!!!! Today I will finally post and talk about the little details I have not discussed.
Okay, first, I am nineteen now??? UHH.. WHAT!?!??! Everyone knows I am still eight years old, like c'mon universe, who u tryna prove? Anyways, my family surprised visited me for my birthday and it made me the most happiest grrrrl ever!! I barely left them a week before, but it was so cool and I had no clue they were going to come. Even my brother came and he never comes to family trips (b/c school + band stuff)!!! I took them on a little walk on Saturday and on Sunday they surprised me even more and took me to Alcatraz!!! Since visiting/moving to SF, I have always wanted go there because I am so interested in haunted places and scary stories that I can see in front of my face, so I was beyond happy. I definitely want to go back and take a night tour because those seem so much more creepier. After that trip, they had to leave because 6 hour drive so I went back to my apartment and hung out with my friends and made pancakes!! All I really wanted to do was go to a new coffee shop and hang out. I have become to notice that birthdays put too much pressure + attention on me so I'm not a fan anymore. I get a new phone though so that was pretty awesome. Overall, my birthday was very cool and chill and I can't believe I'm nineteen..ugh.
My family also facetimed me for my mama's birthday to get a family picture, which I thought was pretty damn cute.
Moving on, JOB. This week has been pretty slow because the cold is making its way around each kid. I have learned to talk to more adults and gotten out of my comfort zone doing so, which is so cool. I definitely want to learn how to open up more to people and keep a conversation going so it has been good practice!! I got my first paycheck, which was preeettyyyy sweeeeet. It felt so good to have money that I worked for!!! With my paycheck, I decided to spend some good money on music..meaning...GOING TO SEE BEST COAST/WAVVES/CHERRY GLAZERR AND THE FRIGHTS/SWMRS!!!! I am mostly excited for best coast/wavves/cherry glazerr because three bands that I absolutely love all in one night??!?!?!?! And as you all know, I have been OBSESSED with Best Coast's newest album so I mean, C'MON!!! I am just so stoked for it. But I am of course so excited to see The Frights/Swmrs. I am currently listening to their new stuff and I have been loving it, even though I wasn't a fan of Swmrs before. My entire SF family is going so it will definitely be a really fun night. I finally bought two show tickets with my own money and I'M SO HAPPY!!! (here's some random pictures of SF)
If ya wanna see some cool art, you can go down this (kinda sketchy) alley way!! It's called Clarion Alley.
Anyways, school has been much better. I'm finally getting in the swing of things, which is always good!! I actually ditched a class this week because the weather was toooo nice to be inside a classroom so my friends and I decided to take a walk to the beach!! that's right..WALK!! We are so close to it, it's so cool, even though it's not the best beach..but I'll take what I can get!! The weather reminded me of home and it was so so so so nice. But then the next day it was cloudy and rainy..what!?!?!??! Although, I did enjoy it because it was nice having the heat one day and then cold the next.
And as always here's some (old) food for thought: I am a huge advocate for supporting small companies and small artists. Most of the time they got some awesome shit and I'd rather put my money into something that is good instead of a corrupted ass company. With that being said this next statement also needs to be said. Stop buying the most simplest things from people, things that you can toootaaallllyy make yourself for a cheaper price!!! It's like buying a $60 skirt from Urban Outfitters instead of going to a thrift store and finding one for $5. You can save so much money just by being productive and creating your own things!! And the product of the craft is even better because YOU made it, not some other person. I am that person who says "I can make that" towards basically everything whenever I go into an expensive store (Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, etc.) because I really do believe that I can get that same product for cheaper if I just made it myself or go to a thrift store. I feel like people can be so much smarter when buying things, but decide not to because they're too lazy or aren't "creative enough" (which is a LIE, everybody can be creative!!!) or just want the product for the brand name. I find that all so ridiculous. I get that sometimes the expensive price is worth the item because of what it's made of, but most of the time, the price is just for the brand name. Why are people buying things for the brand instead for the actual quality?!?!?! AHHHH, this makes me so mad. But yeah. People gotta be more proactive towards what they're buying.
I hope you all are happy and havin' fun!!! It's tough blogging while dealing with school/job, but you can keep up with me on instagram or twitter (I got it back to train myself hahahaha). =^^=

omg, homie, you're so brave for being into creepy places.
and i totally agree with you at the end! it's good to go to thrift stores/make things yourself since you're not supporting companies that most likely get their clothes made in sweatshops! AND you're not buying new fabrics so you're preventing the clothes you bought from a thrift store from going into a landfill. yaaay i love second hand stores. this comment is just getting longer and longer lol sorry but have you ever gone to a clothes swap? we had one on campus the other day and it was soooo great, because i got to clean out my closet and got to get nice things in return for FREE!!
OKAY, anyways i'm done now. Happy belated birthday, btw!
